About Me

Patrick Burrell

Hey there, Patrick here. The Guy behind this blog.

My first fishing experience started when I was 11 years old, fishing for breams in my local lake at home.

In the years following, the hobby turned almost into a full-time pursuit, often requiring the travel of the country to discover new fishing grounds. I enjoy catching pike and king salmon the most.

I have started this blog to share my experience and knowledge about fishing and fishing equipment.

I hope you enjoy my blogs. Wish you good reading..

  1. I appreciate your help, Patrick! I recently installed my striker 4dv on my kayak. It came with the transducer in the box. It does not reach more than 73 meters in salt water, in traditional views. Could it be adjusted or is that normal?

  2. I got Humminbird HELIX 5 CHIRP GPS G2 in 2021 and used it for walleye and pike fishing in Ontario in the spring. It’s really more than you need and once you understand what you’re seeing on the screen and what was under the boat and whether or not there was a fish, it really does make a difference and up your game big time. Will give I don’t know how I lived without one all these years.
